Dear Parents and Students,

We have started what is going to be another great year at Cardinal Valley. The third grade team will be sending home monthly newsletters to keep you and your family up to date on important school information. We are all glad to have you with us as we begin our journey through third grade!

The following teachers are part of the third grade team this year. Please feel free to leave your child’s teacher a message on their voice mail if you have any questions or concerns this year. Your call will be returned within 24 hours.

Daily Homework…

Students will have homework Monday night through Thursday night. All third grade students will be responsible for having their planner signed nightly, as well as completing a reading log. Students may also be asked to complete math homework.

Important Documents…

Teachers have been sending home important forms for parents to complete and return to school. These include lunch forms, emergency information, transportation, media permission, as well as health forms. All these forms need to be returned to school as soon as possible so we can provide the best services for your student. Please contact your student’s teacher with any questions or concerns about these forms.

Dress Code…

Please refer to the student code of conduct for the dress code for students. The code of conduct will be sent home soon. Reminders: Students may not wear spaghetti strap tops, shorts or skirts that are too short, or open toed shoes. These rules are in place to keep all children safe in their learning environment.

Birthday Celebrations…

Administration has asked that starting this school year families limit birthday celebrations at school to the last 30 minutes of the day. Cupcakes/cake may be shared with the class. Large family visits and “goody bags” will not be allowed. We appreciate your cooperation with this so our students can have optimal time for learning.
